John has a broad civil practice with three specialisations: contractual disputes, employment law and property disputes. Contractual disputes range from disputes over building work (both commercial and residential) and industrial plant, to boats, caravans and cars. His employment practice includes unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, and the Employment Agencies regulations. Property work includes disputes over rights of way and other easements, nuisance, restrictive covenants, proprietary estoppel and adverse possession.
He worked in the City for 10 years before coming to the Bar and was Legal Advisor to the Professional Contractors’ Group before joining Godolphin Chambers in 2001.
John’s interests include keeping sheep and making cider.
